Bruny Island Adventure Cruise
private boat tours around bruny island, Tasmania
1.5 hours | Up to 8 passengers | $1600 flat rate
Grab your group and join us for a thrilling private adventure cruise through the D'Entrecasteaux Channel surrounding Bruny Island, down toward the iconic Neck, up to historic Iron Pot Lighthouse or somewhere else you have in mind.
Departing from either Kettering or Barnes Bay on North Bruny Island, it's the perfect option for guests already on Bruny or visitors to Southern Tasmania wanting a shorter, private taste of the water and a perspective of Bruny Island most visitors never see.
It's small. Up to eight passengers only. Small enough that everyone's part of it and we can be agile enough to adjust to the group.
It's yours alone. Private to your group, start to finish.
It's thrilling. Our boat is custom built, safe and a grand adventure in its own right. You’re close to the water, the wind, the coastline. And we think this is the way a boat should feel!
It's flexible. We don't run a fixed loop. Tell us what you'd like to see and we'll shape the route around it.
It's hosted by locals. Your skipper grew up on these waters. He knows them well. And his passion for the place shines through.
What makes our cruise different?
The vessel
Our bright blue Islander vessel is certainly one that turns heads. It’s unique, incredibly safe and rides like a dream. It has been custom built to military specs, so even people who aren’t crazy about boats feel confident.
With high suspension adventure seats available, those who like a thrill ride are in for a treat - with the back seats perfect for those who want a little more cover and a little less wind in the hair.
We’ve got heavy marine jackets on board that will keep you warm and dry, but we always recommend layering up, no matter the season. Wet weather gear, close-toed shoes, the works. In Tasmania, the weather can change in an instant - so even if you think you’ll bake, it’s better to be prepared!
We’ll keep an eye on the weather, and if there’s any safety concerns - we’ll do our best to reschedule or completely refund your ride.

We can head toward Iron Pot, Tasmania's oldest lighthouse at the mouth of the Derwent River, for a view from the water. We can also head toward the iconic Neck that connects North and South Bruny, and check out where the island’s oysters are farmed in Great Bay. Tell us what you'd most like to see and we'll shape the route around it within the time.

The boat is open to the air and we’ll have heavy duty marine jackets on board. We still recommend bringing layers, a coat and close-toed shoes, preferably waterproof in case of rain even on a fair day. The weather can change quickly, and the water is always much colder than it is on land!
